Daily Raipur–Rajim MEMU service launched; fare set at Rs 15, travel time cut by 30-45 minutes
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Raipur–Rajim–Raipur MEMU passenger train, enhancing connectivity with a Rs 15 fare and a 1.5-hour journey. Aiming to benefit 2.5 lakh people, the service includes extending the Raipur–Abhanpur MEMU to Rajim. The project involves railway infrastructure expansion with Rs 45,000 crore underway and Rs 7,000 crore allocated in the 2025-26 budget.
