Army issues tender for highly mobile air defence system
India has initiated the acquisition process for three regiments of indigenous "Anant Shastra" Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile systems, costing Rs 30,000 crore. These highly mobile systems, developed by DRDO, will detect and destroy aerial threats over 30km, providing crucial air defence cover for troops and replacing older systems, especially after recent border hostilities.
