Bihar elections: Congress to contest 61 seats, to fight against INDIA bloc partners in several constituencies
The Congress has agreed to contest 61 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections — nine fewer than in 2020 — but will face INDIA bloc partners RJD and CPI in several constituencies. Seats such as Vaishali, Lalganj, Kahalgaon, Rajapakad and Rosera will see Congress and RJD candidates competing against each other, while in Bachwara, Congress will contest against CPI.
