The 740i xDrive petrol and 740d xDrive diesel continue with 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder mild-hybrid engines, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Both engines now produce more power than before. The petrol unit develops 400hp and 580Nm, up by 19hp and 60Nm, while the diesel delivers 313hp and 670Nm, marking increases of 27hp and 20Nm.
