Cabinet approves opening of 57 new KVs under civil sector with Rs 5862 crore investment to boost school education
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the opening of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) under the civil sector with an investment of Rs.5862 crore. These schools will include Balvatikas as per NEP 2020 and cater to 86,640 students across 17 States and UTs, including aspirational, LWE, and NER regions. The expansion will create 4,617 permanent jobs and improve educational access for children of Central Government employees in underserved areas.
