CISCE launches nationwide fitness assessment for over 31 lakh students

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has launched ACTIVE CISCE, a nationwide physical health and fitness assessment programme covering over 31 lakh students across 3,300 affiliated schools. The initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, evaluates age-appropriate fitness parameters and provides students with individual Fitness Report Cards. CISCE says the programme will also help develop national School Health and School Fitness indices to support evidence-based interventions and policymaking.
