Coimbatore residents lose Rs 1.12 crore to cyber fraud in investment scam
Two Coimbatore residents collectively lost Rs 1.12 crore to cyber fraudsters promising high investment returns. One victim was scammed of Rs 65.51 lakhs through a fake WhatsApp stock market group and website, while another lost Rs 46.65 lakhs via a fraudulent Facebook ad for online trading. Police have registered cases and are investigating.
