Cuttack police have banned the use of weapons, including swords and lathis, during the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations and immersion processions to maintain law and order. DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo stated that violators will face strict legal action, and puja committees must obtain prior permission for all activities. Around 70 platoons of security officials will be deployed across Cuttack city.
