Doctor loses Rs 12.3 crore in second biggest online share-trading fraud so far in Pune
Cybercrooks targeted residents of Hadapsar, Pune, with online share-trading scams. A 75-year-old doctor lost Rs12.31 crore and a 44-year-old realtor lost Rs91 lakh. Both were lured by promises of high returns. They were added to messaging groups and directed to download fake trading applications. Money was transferred to multiple bank accounts before victims realized they were defrauded.
