Former Hurriyat chief Abdul Gani Bhat dead
Abdul Gani Bhat, the former chairman of Hurriyat Conference, passed away at his residence in Sopore. He was 90 years old. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq confirmed the news after speaking with Bhat's son. Bhat was born in 1935 and was a graduate of Aligarh Muslim University. He had been unwell and confined to his home for several years.
