Govt plans skill based curriculum for Class 11 & 12: Will this finally align education with employability?
The Government of India is set to introduce a skill based curriculum for Class 11 and 12 students, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the move during an event at IIT Madras, stating that skill development will now be a formal part of school education. The Ministry is also working to implement skill based learning from Class 6 onwards, replacing the traditional certificate-focused approach.
