Maddam Sir actor Sonali Naik has joined Udne Ki Aasha, replacing Radhika Vidyasagar following the latter’s exit from the Rahul Kumar Tewary-produced family drama. The casting change comes as the show gears up for a seven-year leap that will introduce several twists and alter the dynamics within the Deshmukh family. The post-leap storyline will see Sachin and Sailee living separately, while Roshni and Tejas raise a child as Laksh Tejas Deshmukh after a baby swap orchestrated by Mandira before the leap. Sonali, who has already begun shooting, had earlier spoken about her preference for taking on diverse and challenging roles.
