Maharashtra govt approves recruitment for Mobile Forensic Vans pilot project
The Maharashtra government has sanctioned 180 contractual posts to bolster crime scene investigations through its Mobile Forensic Vans Project. This initiative aims to improve evidence collection in serious crimes punishable by seven or more years. Twenty-one mobile forensic vans will be deployed initially, with a total expenditure of ₹32.03 crore allocated for maintenance, manpower, and equipment.
