No verification of marks after results, says CBSE for Class 12 from 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that from 2026, there will be no post-result verification of marks for Class 12, as it rolls out on-screen marking (OSM). The reform, explained by Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj during a nationwide webcast, aims to eliminate totalling errors, speed up evaluation, and improve accuracy. With over 18.5 lakh students, CBSE says digitisation will ensure cleaner, faster, and more transparent assessment.
