Odisha government plans to increase health sector spending to 5% of GSDP

Odisha government is set to increase health sector spending from 2.4% to 5% of the state's GSDP in the long run. Health minister Mukesh Mahaling informed the assembly that the state's health budget has risen from Rs 9,468 crore in 2020-21 to Rs 22,367 crore in 2024-25, with an average 90% expenditure target achievement.
