Odisha witnessed a significant surge in revenue from gutka, paan masala, and cigarette sales, increasing over tenfold in the last decade. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi revealed that revenue from gutka alone rose from Rs 174.71 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 1234.88 crore in 2024-25.
