Over 3,000 small tea growers in Dibrugarh protested against the drastic fall in green tea leaf prices, which threatens their livelihoods. The All Assam Small Tea Growers’ Association (AASTGA) marched to the district commissioner's office, alleging that Bought Leaf Factories are deliberately suppressing prices and ignoring the Minimum Benchmark Price.
