Pune scholar awarded Ph.D. for study on new labour codes and business reforms
Abhay Satyendra Nevagi, a Pune-based legal professional, has earned a Ph.D. from Vishwakarma University for his thesis on “Ease of Doing Business and New Labour Codes.” Guided by Prof. (Dr.) Siddharth Jabade, the research reviews Indian labour laws from 1800 onward and assesses the four new Labour Codes consolidating 29 statutes. Drawing on industry experience and stakeholder interactions, it highlights implications, challenges, and benefits for employers and workers, offering a rare practitioner-led academic perspective overall.
