Punjab extends school winter holidays till January 13 amid cold, confirms minister Harjot Singh Bains

The Punjab government has extended winter holidays in all government, aided, recognised and private schools till January 13 due to severe cold and dense fog. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said the decision was taken following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, keeping children’s safety in mind. Schools across the state will reopen and resume normal academic activities from January 14 as temperatures stabilise.
