Retired forest officer sentenced to 4 years of rigorous imprisonment for taking bribe in Berhampur
A retired forest range officer, Kishore Kumar Nayak, has been sentenced to four years of rigorous imprisonment by a special vigilance court in Berhampur for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a carpenter in 2016. In addition to the jail term, Nayak was fined Rs 20,000; failure to pay will result in an additional eight months of imprisonment.
