Retired IAS officer Niranjan Das arrested in Chhattisgarh liquor scam
Retired IAS officer Niranjan Das was arrested by Chhattisgarh ACB/EOW for his involvement in a multi-thousand-crore liquor scam. He allegedly facilitated the sale of unaccounted liquor and manipulated tender processes, receiving substantial kickbacks. Alongside Das, two hotel businessmen were also apprehended, and Das has been remanded in custody for interrogation.
