Solar power helps ECoR save over Rs 8cr in 2025-26
East Coast Railway has saved Rs 8.34 crore and reduced CO2 emissions by 10,406 tonnes by installing solar panels. The railway zone has cumulatively installed 27 MWp of solar capacity, generating over 12.24 million units of solar power. ECoR plans further installations at 59 stations after their redevelopment.
