Through minimal dialogue, symbolic visuals and a carefully crafted musical score, AAD, a nine-minute short film, examines themes of identity, freedom and self-expression. While it begins with the way women are judged through identities imposed by society and religion, its message extends to everyone who is viewed through markers such as caste, class, gender, clothing or profession.
