UP CM announces Rs 16,000-20,000 aid for sanitation workers, Valmiki Jayanti public holiday
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced direct credit of Rs 16,000-Rs 20,000 to sanitation workers' accounts and Rs 5 lakh health coverage under Ayushman Bharat. He honored sanitation workers for their contributions during the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada and declared October 7 as a public holiday for Lord Valmiki Jayanti.
