Bijay Kumar Satapathy: Arjuna Award-winning weightlifter passes away at 73
Arjuna Award winner Bijay Kumar Satapathy died at his residence in Somnath Nagar. He was 73. Satapathy secured five national weightlifting titles. He received the Arjuna Award in 1981-82. He also won gold at the Mini Commonwealth Games in 1981. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj expressed their condolences. Several sports figures also mourned Satapathy's death.
