ED freezes Rs 440 cr Trinamool funds
The Enforcement Directorate has frozen over Rs 440 crore in Trinamool Congress bank accounts. These funds were allegedly routed through a Carewell group company for aircraft purchases. The agency's investigation revealed significant transfers between party accounts and Carewell Aviation. A new entity was incorporated to buy an Embraer plane and an Agusta helicopter. The aircraft were then rented back to the Trinamool Congress for usage.
