Highway project delays invite ₹2,732 crore penalty
The government has imposed cumulative penalties of about₹2,732 croreon contractors and concessionaires for delays in highway project execution over the last three financial years, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha. Of the total penalty amount, around₹780 crore has been recovered so far.
