Man held for 'extortion' bid targeting IUML leader's relative
Police arrested Muhammad Roshan in Perinthalmanna for attempting to extort Rs 15 crore. Roshan allegedly threatened to circulate defamatory images of IUML state president Sayyid Sadikkali Shihab Thangal online. He also issued death threats if the matter was reported. Roshan was absconding since a case was registered last week. Fake images were also circulated on Facebook.
