The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all medical colleges to follow interim guidelines for MBBS admissions of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) in 2025–26. In its notice, NMC urged colleges to “implement these Interim Guidelines in letter and spirit” under the RPwD Act, 2016. The guidelines mandate UDID cards, self-certified affidavits, and verification by designated medical boards.
