TU teachers join protest against VC over remarks on Zubeen and alleged irregularities
Tezpur University is engulfed in protests as teachers and students demand the removal of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh over allegedly disrespectful remarks about cultural icon Zubeen Garg and alleged financial and administrative irregularities. The Tezpur University Teachers’ Association cited poor infrastructure, arbitrary appointments, and lack of transparency, submitting a memorandum to state authorities calling for urgent action.
