Who is Dr Munira Al-Mahashir? From e-learning pioneer to Eastern Province’s education director
Dr Munira bint Badr Al-Mahashir has been appointed as the first female Director General of Education for Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. An academic leader and e-learning pioneer, she previously served as Dean of E-Learning at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University. Her expertise in digital transformation and AI policy will support the Ministry’s modernisation efforts, focusing on teacher development, digital classrooms, and inclusive education aligned with Vision 2030 goals.
