Real picture of Maharashtra rain fury to come by Oct 5, will try to give aid before Diwali: Minister
Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule indicated that flood-affected farmers in the state could receive compensation before Diwali, starting October 18. He stated that damage assessment would be complete by October 5, and the state plans to offer more aid than National Disaster Response Fund norms. Bawankule also urged thorough and accurate surveys to ensure farmers are not adversely affected.
