Retired gynaecologist, 98, donates Rs 3.4 crore to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for cancer course
As she approaches 99, retired gynaecologist Dr. K. Lakshmi Bai has made a monumental gift of Rs 3.40 crore to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, for launching a pioneering gynaecologic oncology program. In addition, she's donated Rs 3 lakh to the Berhampur Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society to fund critical vaccination drives aimed at preventing adolescent cancer.
